Two local high school sophomores have launched SevaRun, a new nonprofit connecting the San Antonio community through running and providing underprivileged children with the basic necessities they need to run. Founders Park Higdon and Veeraj Bajaj — competitive runners and students at Saint Mary’s Hall — will host SevaRun’s inaugural fundraising event this Sunday, April 26th at 9am at LBJ Park.

This is the first local 5K organized by high schoolers. The first local 5K where 100% of the proceeds go to providing local kids with running gear. And, finally, the first local 5K of its kind with an entry fee as low as $10.
