San Antonio's Migrants: Their Journey, Our Response

San Antonio's Migrants: Their Journey, Our Response

The League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area will hold a forum titled "San Antonio’s Migrants: Their Journey, Our Response" addressing local and national concerns and possible solutions surrounding immigration issues.

Speakers include Congressman Joaquin Castro and Antonio Fernandez, CEO of the local Catholic Charities. Congressman Castro represents much of San Antonio and has extensive experience with immigration concerns. Mr. Fernandez oversees the work of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Antonio which partners with both city and federal government entities to facilitate migrants’ experiences in eighteen counties from the San Antonio area to the border.

Randy Beamer, who hosts “On the Record” for public television station KLRN, will moderate.

This forum is free and open to the public.

Participants may park in the Central Library parking building attached. Bring the parking tickets with you for 3 hours validation. Validation kiosks are in the lobby and the auditorium.
