Join us in celebrating the founding of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) during LULAC week, by attending a presentation about the most significant Mexican American civil rights leader of San Antonio. Distinguished author Dr. Cynthia E. Orozco will provide an overview of her book: Pioneer of Mexican American Civil Rights: Alonso S. Perales. Perales was an attorney, US diplomat, author, public intellectual and civil rights leader who passed in 1960; one of the most influential Mexican Americans of the twentieth century.
