Otherness and Revelation: Aquinas in the Work of Gustavo Gutiérrez
Otherness and Revelation: Aquinas in the Work of Gustavo Gutiérrez
Join us for an evening of theological exploration at our annual Aquinas Lecture featuring the esteemed Dr. Carlos Mendoza-Álvarez, O.P., as he delivers his lecture, “Otherness and Revelation: The Reception of Aquinas in the Work of Gustavo Gutiérrez,” where he will delve into the intersection of theology, liberation, and ethics. This event will allow participants to explore how St. Thomas Aquinas and Gustavo Gutiérrez, a Catholic theologian and Dominican priest, illuminate theology as a call to justice, hope, and redemption amid today’s life struggles.
The Aquinas Lecture is hosted by the Dominican Friars of San Antonio and celebrates the intellectual and theological contributions of St. Thomas Aquinas - one of the most influential Dominican theologians. This event is part of the Dominicans' longstanding tradition of promoting study and dialogue rooted in their charism of preaching and pursuit of truth.
This is a free event, please register you'll attend.
