Oblate School of Theology - 2025 Summer Institute
Oblate School of Theology invites you to the 2025 Summer Institute, a two-and-a-half-day theological gathering exploring the Jewish roots of Jesus and how understanding his cultural and religious context can deepen Christian faith today.
This year’s theme, Jesus & Judaism: The Faith that Formed Him, invites us to rediscover Jesus within the richness of his Jewish identity—his prayers, teachings, and worldview—and to consider how this perspective can bridge gaps between traditions and inspire renewed discipleship.
Our featured keynote speaker, Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, a world-renowned scholar of early Judaism and Christian origins, will offer three powerful keynotes addressing Jesus' piety and practices, his parables, and how Jews and Christians read shared Scriptures in differing but meaningful ways. Complementing Dr. Levine's insights are two additional keynote presenters: Dr. Timothy Robinson and Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI.
The 2025 Summer Institute offers a rich space for theological reflection, interfaith dialogue, and spiritual renewal rooted in the historical Jesus and the diverse faith traditions that seek the Divine. Join us for this enriching event!
