MAAFA SERUDJ-TA: A Story of African American History

MAAFA SERUDJ-TA: A Story of African American History

In honor of Juneteenth, the Pan African Cultural Community presents MAAFA SERUDJ-TA: A Story of African American History—a powerful theatrical-musical production tracing the journey of African people from Africa to America; from civilization and humanity, through the Maafa and slavery, to resistance, identity, and restoration.

Through live drumming, singing, dance, storytelling, and dramatic performance, this original production guides audiences on an emotional and educational journey through African and African American history — honoring the resilience of our ancestors and inspiring future generations.

Juneteenth represents freedom, memory, and self-determination. This performance embodies that spirit by connecting history to healing, culture, and community empowerment.

This is more than a play — it is a cultural experience of remembrance, truth, and renewal.
