Kindness in Nature Club

Kindness in Nature Club

San Antonio Parks & Recreation introduces the newest kids club, kicking off the season on National Random Acts Day in February until World Kindness Day in November. Join us on this caring and fun filled opportunity where kids can explore, get inspired and grow an appreciation for wildlife.

Begins February 17 and ends November 13

"Did you know the global spider population wipes out an estimated 400-800 million tons of prey every year? 90% of those are insects the remainder of the 10% is smaller vertebrates (frogs, lizards, snakes, fish, birds, and bats) or feed on plants."

Join us for our monthly session on April 7th from 10am-11:30am as we celebrate Being Kind to a Spider Week.

In this session kids will be learning the word of day, play a game called first expressions, go on a mini hike and end the session with a crafting opportunity to create a spider cup for home to safely remove any uninvited 8-legged guest.
