This is an opportunity to taste and learn about traditional natural wine from the Republic of Georgia. Van Horn Imports will be talking about several of the Georgian wines they import directly to Texas, made from regional Georgian grape varietals, including Saperavi, Chinuravi, Khikhvi, Rkatsiteli, Ojaleshi and Tsolikouri. Learn about how these wines are fermented in qvevri, or large clay vessels buried underground, the way wine has been made for thousands of years.
