Leyenda and lived experiences inspired the creation of CHUPACABRONA as it centers young folks navigating relationships and realidad. Upon discovering that men in their city are going missing, with allegations that a demon is responsible for eating these “promising young boys,” the friends are caught up in obscuridad! The twins describe their horror-play in terms of “Jennifer’s-Body-meets-TEETH-meets-Cherrie-Moraga-Texan-urban-legend punk rock boy eater.” CHUPACABRONA features las cuatas Sarah and Lilith, Elias Flores III, Martinique de Leon y Peña, and Abel Ramirez. Bree Rubio is stage manager and local band FUCHI accompanies the action.
