Catrina Live Exhibit Experience at The Shops at La Cantera, Sunday, October 20

Día de los Muertos musical performance by San Antonio’s Premier Classic Vocalists and art exhibition presented by San Antonio Arts Collective

The Shops at La Cantera presents a live Catrina Exhibit experience from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 20, in the common area between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Six Catrina icons – Mexicana, Castilla, Fiesta, Alebrige, Monarca and Xochiquetzal – represent cultural symbols of Día de los Muertos.

Every Catrina is dressed in exquisite custom-designed, hand-crafted attire, head pieces, accessories and makeup with artistic flair and attention to detail for true homage to its authentic cultural representation. Displayed in rotation, three at a time for 30-minute intervals, the live exhibit allows for dynamic interaction and photo opportunities with shoppers.

Additionally, San Antonio’s Premier Classic Vocalists will perform traditional folklore and popular favorite Mexican songs.

The San Antonio Artists Collective gallery at The Shops at La Cantera will showcase a selection of Día de los Muertos-themed paintings created by local artists. These original works pay tribute to the spirit of the holiday, exploring themes of remembrance, family, and honoring ancestors through bold colors and intricate designs.
