About The Author

Dr. Amelia Duran-Stanton was born in the Philippines; served overseas in Germany, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan; and currently serves on active duty as a colonel in the US Army where she has mentored, coached, sponsored, and taught several women. She holds two doctoral degrees: (1) a PhD in postsecondary and adult education and (2) a doctor of science in PA studies specialized in orthopedics. She is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with multiple awards and decorations. She has published over 100 articles and presentations, with topics ranging from medicine, mentorship, and management.
