Austin Traditional Jazz Society Jam Session

Austin Traditional Jazz Society Jam Session

The Austin Traditional Jazz Society will present its first Jam Session of the concert season on Sunday, November 26 from 2:00 to 4:45 pm at Ben Hur Shrine Temple, 7811 Rockwood Lane, off Anderson Lane near the MoPac.    Admission to this concert is free. There is plenty of free parking at Ben Hur.  The hall contains a large dance floor.  Snacks, beer, wine and sodas are available.  Patrons can bring their own food.  ATJS concerts are family-friendly.

ATJS Jam Sessions are fun jazz events.  Ad hoc jazz bands are created on the spot, and often play very good jazz.  If you would like to play, send an e-mail to info@atjs.org or register at the front desk at the Jam Session.  Early registrants will get first priority.

Memberships for the remainder of the ATJS season are available by mail, through the Society website at www.atjs.org, or at the door.  Online memberships can be paid through PayPal.  Mail-ins and in-person applications can be paid by cash or check.

We hope you will come out for a fun-filled afternoon of playing, listening and dancing to the beat of hot traditional jazz!  To quote Duke Ellington, “We love you madly!”
