2024 Bi-National Obesity and Metabolic Symposium

UT Health San Antonio is hosting the 2024 Bi-National Obesity and Metabolic Symposium, which will bring transformative dialogue and collaborative action on the pressing issue of obesity and metabolic disease across borders. It will foster a dynamic platform where leading experts and researchers will unite to share knowledge, innovative research and propose pioneering therapeutic approaches.

The symposium aims to drive impactful change in preventing and treating obesity and related metabolic diseases by promoting cross-border partnerships.

There will be free lunch for all attendees, many giveaways, dietitians on site and plenty of helpful information to the community about obesity, diabetes and their complications.

Event open to the general public through 1 p.m. and lunch. Afterward, paired discussions reserved for faculty, staff and post-doctoral trainees.

8-9 a.m. – Registration, coffee and poster setup
9-9:30 a.m. – Opening remarks
9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. – 10-minute oral presentations and Q&A
1-2:30 p.m. – Networking lunch, vendor stations and posters
2:30-5 p.m. – Focus area hosted paired-discussion workshops
