San Antonio holiday activities kick into high gear Friday, with the Ford Holiday Parade.
Live Christmas music from the Arneson River Stage at La Villita begins at 6 p.m.
At 7 p.m., there is a tree lighting ceremony at the Arneson before the start of the Ford Holiday River Parade.
The parade route is 2 ½-miles long. Reserved seats are available online. Three free viewing locations include:
- North side of the River Walk, between Lexington and Richmond avenues.
- South side of the River Walk, between Richmond Avenue and Navarro Street.
- South side of the River Walk, between Navarro and North Mary’s streets.
Those looking to view the parade in the free zones will need to bring your own chairs.
The parade can also be viewed from any bridge crossing along the parade route.
Park-n-Ride service from the Crossroads Park-n-Ride to downtown is available for $2.50 each way.
The Ford Holiday River Parade will be broadcast on CW35, beginning at 7 p.m.
