If You Think The Beatles Are Gone, These Guys Will Rain On Your Parade

Rain performing, Jim Irizarry as John Lennon

(Suggestion: Hit "Listen" above to hear Rain play the Beatles)

If you’re looking to take a trip back in time, this weekend there’s a very good opportunity for you.  A Beatles tribute band is coming to San Antonio.

"This is Jim Irizarry.”

Jim plays and sings the role of John Lennon in the Beatles Tribute Band Rain. He describes what people who come will see.

“You’re going to see us go through all the different Beatle eras. We’re going to start with the Ed Sullivan Show, 1964.”

The Ed Sullivan show was the US Beatle debut, and is credited for starting what is now called the British Invasion. Rain steps through the different Beatles music styles with costume and set changes throughout.  They’re playing Saturday and Sunday at the Majestic Theatre.

“It’s a very fun show. If you’re a Beatles fan you’re just going to love it."

Obviously, Irizarry isn’t British, but he can approximate John’s brogue.

“Yes, tell all the San Antonians to come out and see the show. It’s a very good time!”
