In a normal year, more than 40,000 people run the London Marathon— but 2020 is not a normal year.
The pandemic has forced the cancelation of mass participant events like the marathons in Boston, Chicago and New York. But, London is staging a marathon this weekend in what officials call a bio-secure environment with only a few dozen runners.
