Robert goes to the National Mall in Washington, DC to visit the Smithsonian Institution's thirtieth annual Festival of American Folklife. This year, there are two themes...the American South and the state of Iowa. Iowa is celebrating the one hundred-fiftieth anniversary of its statehood. Robert spent time talking with farmers, a livestock auctioneer and food vendors; he also listened to three bands from Iowa...one playing blues, one playing polkas, and a brass band.
