TPR Resiliency Fund
Public Media Is at Risk
On May 1, President Trump signed an executive order directing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and other federal agencies to halt funding to NPR and PBS “to the maximum extent allowed by law.” The White House is also expected to propose a massive $1.1 billion cut to federal funding for public media.
The loss of federal funding would be devastating, essentially dismantling the foundation of NPR, PBS, TPR, and 1,300 local stations nationwide. What’s on the line: the news, music, education, emergency alerts, and cultural programs you rely on.
TPR is San Antonio’s No. 1 news station. We serve South Texas with trusted, independent reporting—free and accessible to all.
Why It Matters
Public media strengthens democracy with fact-based news and civil dialogue. We reach 99% of Americans, including the most remote communities. But we can’t do it without you.

About Federal Funding
Only 5% of TPR’s budget comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. But losing it would impact 10% of our operating capacity due to the broader support structure it provides.
You make up the other 95%. We need your help to protect the future of public media—right now.
