Curfews Lifted At Some City Parks For Easter

Apr 15, 2019

The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department will lift the curfew at Brackenridge and nine other parks for the Easter holiday weekend.

“This has become an annual San Antonio tradition for residents to enjoy the outdoors and make memories,” said Parks and Recreation Director Xavier Urrutia. “We encourage park users to do their part to ensure our parks remain clean by properly disposing of litter and recyclables to protect the environment and for a more enjoyable park experience for everyone.”

The parks department reminded citizens that recycling bins are available in the parks and should be used for plastic bottles and cans. No glass containers are allowed.

Food-contaminated waste should be disposed of in trash cans. Patrons are urged to bring trash bags and remove their trash at the end of their stay in the park.

The department will reactivate the curfews at 11 p.m. on Easter Sunday.
