The court-martial of an Air Force photographer accused of sexual misconduct with several O'Connor High School students was postponed today at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Airman 1st Class Nathan Wilson-Crow, formerly a photographer with Lackland’s 3rd Combat Camera Squadron, is charged with sexual misconduct with three students -- one of them a minor -- on an ROTC camping trip, and of rape in a separate incident.
In Wilson-Crow’s Article 32 hearing last fall, female students testified that they believed the airman had been invited on the camping trip as a photographer but thought that he had a chaperone role as well. The high school students said the airman accompanied them when several of the high school students sneaked out at night and that he ended up playing sex games called "Truth or Dare" with them.
Wilson-Crow is accused of exposing himself to a 16-year-old student and committing sex acts with two other students on the ROTC trip in April of 2013, and of the rape of a fourth woman in separate incidents in June and July. He also is accused of providing alcohol to a minor.
The general court-martial began Tuesday with pre-trial motions -- the judge granted a motion for continuance to April to allow attorneys to confirm the availability of witnesses. The 22 year old is the latest Lackland-based airman to be tried in a sex scandal that has continued for more than two years. If he’s convicted, the rape charge could send Wilson-Crow to prison for life.
