The Wild Swans
The Wild Swans
With bare feet and a burning heart, Eliza sets out to free her brothers from a terrible curse…
Turnip Ensemble Theater presents "The Wild Swans," a bold new adaptation of the beloved Hans Christian Andersen fairytale. When Eliza's brothers are transformed into swans, she must set out on a quest to find and rescue them from the curse. Along the way she discovers that the task demands not only sacrifice, but also great courage and resilience. "The Wild Swans" is a story about heartbreak, forgiveness, and what happens when things don't end "happily ever after."
This developmental production, performed by Turnip’s ensemble with a full design team, invites audiences into the creative process. Following the performance, audience feedback will help shape the work as it continues its journey toward a large-scale world premiere planned for fall 2026.
