Visit 7 coops around San Antonio from 10am to 2pm, learn how many different ways there are to keep backyard chickens, and meet up for the party from 2 to 4pm at Garcia Street Urban Farm, 218 Garcia St. on the Eastside. Refreshments, music, and door prizes!

This annual event celebrates the improved animal ordinance of 2017, allowing up to 8 chickens without a permit. Whether you're an experienced chicken keeper or just thinking about it, everyone enjoys the sights, learns a lot, and has fun in this educational community event. If you sign up online, you'll get the map in email the day before the tour. If you sign up at the farmers market (see below), bring a cooler for some fabulous produce.
