Huebner Creek Greenway Trail Planting

Huebner Creek Greenway Trail Planting

Bexar Branches Alliance is excited to partner with the City of Leon Valley for a second tree planting along the Huebner Creek Greenway Trail on December 13, 2025. This planting replaces trees lost since the initial planting in October 2024 and adds new trees to expand the trail’s canopy.

This effort is a critical step toward Leon Valley’s goal of planting 10,000 trees. Every tree planted improves air quality, provides shade, supports biodiversity, and strengthens community resilience. By participating, volunteers of all ages can make a tangible impact on their neighborhoods and help build a healthier, greener future for everyone.

Even if you cannot join in person, there are many ways to support this effort. Donations, sponsorships, and program registrations all help Bexar Branches Alliance continue planting and preserving trees across the region. Programs like Trees and Torque and the BBA 5K give supporters opportunities to contribute while enjoying fun, educational, and community-centered events.
