The is weekend here, and music events are planned throughout the city.

First off, head to the Tower of the Americas Friday for what Jennifer Boland, director of events, calls “Party on the Tower Plaza.”

“It's a free concert every Friday. We want to showcase our local talent here in San Antonio so we have everything from dance bands to country to rock,” she said. “Friday we have Dark City, which is an 80s rock band."

Street parking is free after 6 p.m., and with dunking booths and face painting, there's plenty for the kids to do.

As to exactly where it's held, simply find the tower, and head to the bottom of it.

Then, on Sunday, do you know what a zarzuela is?

"A zarzuela is a Spanish operetta," said singer Judith Rodriguez. "A lot of music that is romantic. It also has drama in there as well."

Rodriguez, along with Erich Schmidt, will be singing, and Anna Hakabyan will play piano for the zarzuelas performance at the Pearl Stable.

"I encourage you to come out and join us in the event that the Pearl and Casa de Espana has put together, and there are going to be tapas as well as beer provided by Pearl," she said.
