The musical selections include compositions by Jesús Echevarría, Arturo Márquez, and Eugene Rodriguez, and performances by Orquestra Mexicana de las Artes, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
About the Hosts
Jacquie Fuller is a native San Antonian, and now Assistant Programming Director for KUTX The Austin Music Experience in Austin, Texas. Before joining KUTX, Fuller hosted a retro music show on Minnesota Public Radio's The Current and taught courses in Chicano music and art at the University of Minnesota.
Gilberto Vazquez Valle is an authority on the folk music of Latin America. He also hosts a weekly radio program called "Encuentro," dedicated to the music, history, poetry and literature of Latin America. His show is broadcast on KFAI, a noncommercial community-supported station in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
