Organizations across Texas have started mobilizing in response to the flash flood emergencies in the Texas Hill Country. Here’s how you can support:
- Donations to Mercy Chefs, which provides hot meals for affected communities, support families, emergency crews and volunteers.
- The Community Foundation of the Hill Country has set up a relief fund for nonprofits and civic organizations in need of assistance.
- Youth Peace & Justice Foundation, founded after the Uvalde school shooting, opened a fund today for families affected by flash floods in Bexar and Uvalde counties. You can donate here.
- Austin Pets Alive started organizing a response to the flood July 14. You can support their work by adopting or fostering pets or by donating. Funds are used for personal protective equipment and triage supplies as their teams work in disaster areas to help animals.
- The American Red Cross told KXAN they are sending resources to Uvalde County. You can donate here.
