New Braunfels will test its emergency siren system at noon on Tuesday

The City of New Braunfels will conduct routine testing of its outdoor warning siren system on Tuesday, Aug 5.

Eight sirens along the Comal River, the Guadalupe River, and Dry Comal Creek will sound at around noon.

The siren system can be used for a variety of emergencies including floods, fires, tornadoes, and hazardous material spills.

The city said it will routinely test the siren system the first Tuesday of every month.
