Two select committees with the Texas Legislature are expected to travel to Kerrville on Thursday to hear from residents about the deadly floods.
The committees on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding first met in the Texas Capitol last week to hear testimony from emergency management officials, weather forecasters, and other experts.
Locals from Kerrville will now have the opportunity to testify in front of the panels.
A proposed bill being carried this special session focuses on how Texas would get an early flood warning system.
