MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:
Good morning. I'm Michel Martin. More than a thousand sea lions are lounging at Pier 39 in San Francisco, Calif. That is double the number that usually shows up on the custom floating piers and a number that hasn't been seen since the early '90s. Why? It turns out that a large school of anchovy is the appeal, so the sea lions can feast and get pretty in preparation for their journey south for the mating season.
