The Dangers Of Pursuing Herd Immunity

White House officials have reportedly spoken with doctors that tout the controversial theory of herd immunity — that the U.S. could protect the most vulnerable members of society and allow others to go about their lives without lockdowns to pursue herd immunity.

However, epidemiologists say that pursuing herd immunity without restrictions would lead to a dramatic increase in the number of deaths from the coronavirus.
