Bringing A Ferret Species Back From Extinction

The endangered black-footed ferret became nearly extinct more than three decades ago. The species is an important part of the ecosystem, as the animals are both predators and prey.

Grace Hood ( @gracehood) of Colorado Public Radio visits a captive breeding program in northern Colorado that’s helping bring the ferret back.
