Haven For Hope Finds New CEO In Banking Industry
Haven for Hope has named Kenny Wilson its new president and CEO.
The San Antonio businessman will take over the helm of the city’s premier homeless program after serving as the Market President of Bank of America in San Antonio.
Wilson is currently serving as a board member of the San Antonio Museum of Art and the P16 Education Council, for which he serves as treasurer. He is also a former member of the executive committee of The United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and he was founding president of the Luminaria arts festival.
Haven for Hope strives to help people move past homelessness by providing social services and skills training that lead to being more self sufficient.
“I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity,” Wilson said in a statement. “After more than 35 successful years in the private sector, I am ready to move full-time into ‘giving back.’ I hope to spend the rest of my career helping Haven for Hope continue to transform and save the lives of homeless men, women and children."
Haven for Hope Chairman Bill Greehey said, "We are so fortunate to have a leader of Kenny’s stature willing to step up to take Haven for Hope to the next level. He is uniquely qualified for this critical position as he not only has decades of successful business leadership, he also has established himself as an accomplished and highly respected community leader through his efforts on countless charitable and civic initiatives."
