San Antonio Is A Hub For Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is the most common type of modern-day slavery, exploiting children and adults by forcing them to engage in sex or labor.

There are more than 300,000 victims in Texas alone, according to a 2016 report.

What are the realities of sex trafficking in San Antonio? What is the human impact of contemporary slavery?

A panel at St. Mary's University will discuss human trafficking in Southwest Texas on Tuesday, February 27, from 5-6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. More information here.

Guests:

  • James Greenaway, Charles Miller Chair in Human Dignity in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at St. Mary's University
  • Charles Paul, domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) consultant
