3. Community Engagement Editor
Grow the San Antonio Report's Community Connection
San Antonio Report (SAR), a primary digital news brand of Texas Public Radio (TPR), is seeking a strategic, collaborative and detail-oriented Community Engagement Editor to help strengthen our content strategy and deepen connections between our newsroom and the community we serve.
Based in San Antonio, this role will edit and produce high-quality newsletters, commentary and other digital content while helping identify new opportunities to engage audiences and bring more community voices into our journalism. You’ll review and edit commentary from non-staff writers, work directly with contributors to develop their ideas into clear and compelling pieces, and identify potential contributors and conversations through story comments, social media and other community channels. You’ll also write and edit headlines, summaries and photo cutlines, coordinate visual needs, and ensure content meets our standards for style, accuracy and digital best practices.
We’re looking for a strong writer and editor with excellent editorial judgment, an eye for what will resonate with audiences and the interpersonal skills to work effectively with contributors of varying levels of experience. You should be highly organized, comfortable with AP Style and SEO best practices, able to make thoughtful decisions on deadline, and eager to learn new tools and technology.

Help Tell the Story of Texas' Youngest Learners
Texas Public Radio (TPR) is seeking an enterprising, empathetic and collaborative Early Childhood Education Engagement Producer to help connect families and caregivers with our reporting on the critical first five years of a child’s life. This is a part-time, hybrid position based in San Antonio, working no more than 20 hours per week.
Working closely with TPR’s Early Childhood Education and Development Reporter, the producer will create engaging videos, social media posts and other multimedia content while building relationships with parents, caregivers, educators, childcare providers and community organizations. The role will help identify the questions and information needs that can shape our journalism and ensure our early childhood reporting is accessible, useful and engaging.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting out into the community. You’ll help organize listening sessions, community conversations and public events, build a diverse network of trusted sources and find creative ways to share TPR’s reporting and resources beyond our traditional platforms.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing TPR’s audience growth strategy, engagement initiatives, loyalty programs, and product portfolio while partnering closely with editorial, programming, social media, revenue, and audience and events teams. Texas Public Radio (TPR) is seeking a full time dynamic and relationship-driven Major Gifts Officer to help advance the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability. In this role, you will build and manage meaningful relationships with individuals and families capable of making charitable investments of $5,000 or more. Working as a key member of the development team, you will cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of approximately 75 to 125 qualified prospects and donors, helping connect their philanthropic interests with the impact of public media across South and Central Texas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing major gift revenue through new donor acquisition, donor upgrades, renewals, and multi-year commitments. Over the first three years, the Major Gifts Officer will work toward generating $750,000 to $1 million in major-gift support while building a strong pipeline for future growth.
