A San Antonio scientist has been awarded a huge federal grant to continue his work on fighting malaria.
Timothy Anderson, Ph.D.,of Texas Biomedical Research Institutereceived a five-year, four-point-six million dollar grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Malaria is a mosquito-borne illness that affects more than 200 million people worldwide and kills more than 400-thousand people each year.
Anderson’s work focuses on drug resistance.
