Magaly Chocano, a San Antonio business owner in the high-tech industry has been honored nationally by Cosmopolitan for Latinas.
Chocano is one of 12 women business owners in the U.S. honored by Cosmo for Latinas as a "Fun, Fearless Latina." Chocano is recognized for her creation of the first build-your-own-app platform for iOS, called Sweb Apps.
Chocano has been honored as a 40 Under 40 and a SXSW Social Revolución Innovator. Her company, SwebApps, and parent company Sweb Development have developed over 300 apps for small businesses, universities, Fortune 500 companies, and the Al Jazeera Children’s Channel.
Also being honored by Cosmo Latina with Chocano are Actress Michelle Rodriguez and Journalist Natalie Morales. The magazine will hold its award ceremony in New York May 23.
