The demise of Investigative Journalism has been predicted many times, none so much as in the highly fractured, low-revenue world of today's media.  In the grind of daily news, many newsrooms across the country consider the practice of long-form investigative journalism too expensive and specific.  Does it matter?  If it doesn't, what should we expect from our journalists?  We'll be joined by the Center for Public Integrity and The Dallas Morning News to talk about the practice of investigative reporting and what it looks like across the country.

In the second segment:

We look at the last legislative session and see how Texas children fared.  From bills on health and wellness, to education, to the problems of our social services, we explore the session with Eileen Garcia, Chief Executive Officer for Texans Care for Children.
