Unique Partnership Targets South San Antonio Health

The new School of Osteopathic Medicine has a class of 150 students.

A first-of-its kind partnership in Texas is forming in San Antonio.

The Southside Independent School Districtis teaming up with the University of the Incarnate Word’s new School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Future doctors going through the program to become DOs will be working with students and their families.

They’ll address diabetes, mental illness, obesity and a myriad of other health issues.

The idea is that the medical students will get practical experience while families in this medically-underserved area get help they need.
