Bexar County GOP delegates to the national convention: Lisa Nilsson; Ginny Shannon; Grant Moody; Gina Castaneda
Shelley Kofler

Monday some Bexar County delegates at the Republican National Convention will be part of a final push to prevent Donald Trump from becoming the Party’s presidential nominee.  Others will be supporting Trump.

As part of our Dare to Listen project, Texas Public Radio’s Shelley Kofler sat down with four of the Bexar delegates before they left for Cleveland to hear what divides them and what they can agree upon.

Here’s an excerpt of our conversation with:

  • Lisa Nilsson, 51, a mother of three from Bexar County.   She wants an alternative to Trump.
  • Grant Moody, 36, a San Antonio business executive supporting the movement to dump Trump.
  • Ginny Shannon, 73, a retired educator who says Donald Trump has earned the nomination.
  • Gina Castaneda, 61, who runs a grassroots group that promotes limited government.  She supports Trump because he captured the most primary delegates, but says he has work to do.
