San Antonio Man Indicted For 'Terroristic Threat' Against Fort Hood

A Bexar County grand jury has indicted Mario Pena for allegedly posting on Facebook that he had plans to attack Fort Hood.

San Antonio police officers arrested Pena at his home in August after his wife alerted authorities about the Facebook post. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Pena was allegedly “upset and wanted to retaliate for Vanessa Guillen’s murder,” according to a police affidavit obtained by KSAT. Pena said he had no respect for the military and was “close” to becoming “an active shooter,” the affidavit added.

The 48-year-old Pena has a violent criminal history, involving assault charges, harassment and discharging a firearm with bodily injury.
