Four Democratic candidates have filed to fill the State House District 124 seat left vacant by now State Senator Jose Menendez.
The candidates include firefighter Nathan Alonzo, who is the legislative director for the San Antonio Professional Fire Fighters Association, Former San Antonio Councilwoman Delicia Herrera, attorney Ina Minjarez and insurance agent David L. Rosa.
Governor Greg Abbott has called a special election to fill the seat in less than three weeks on Tuesday March 31st. Early voting will begin on Monday, March 23rd. The district includes some of far west San Antonio and Bexar County.
