Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn is among the latest GOP politicians to acknowledge that Joe Biden will be sworn in as president Jan. 20.

Alabama Republican Representative Mo Brooks said he plans to challenge the Electoral College vote when it's certified by Congress on Jan. 6.

Cornyn, as quoted by The Hill last week, said that January meeting is just a "formality."

“Nobody likes to lose, but we have to respect the judgment of the American people," he said.

The Electoral College will vote on Dec. 14.

President Donald Trump's legal team has claimed, without evidence, that the election was rigged against him. So far, they have been unsuccessful in overturning votes in any state.
