Legal guardianships are supposed to be ways to help those most vulnerable - the intellectually disabled or the elderly with dementia. But for some a legal guardianship can be a revenue stream - a way to cash in on the system. And as we see the aging of the baby-boomer generation - the flaws in the system are being more obvious as is the need for reform. Guests:

  • Patrick Michels, reporter for the Texas Observer
  • Kris Hood, advocate for reform. She also is the Guardian for her 92 year-old father
