Driving on Interstate 35 to Austin from San Antonio is a chore, the corridor being reduced at times to a parking lot. One idea having been floated for years is the Lone Star Railproject. A commuter rail line that could connect San Antonio all the way to Georgetown north of Austin.
Councilman Joe Krier says San Antonio needs to get on board this plan and figure out what it will take to make it a reality.
