The race to see who will replace Ivy Taylor on City Council continues. Taylor is now the mayor and the city is still the process of electing the District 2 council person. That person will remain until May - when a whole new city council and mayor is selected. There was an election in November for the seat - but no one claimed more than 50 percent of the vote - so now we are in a run-off. Election day is December 9th. Early voting is already underway.
