Lorenzo Gomez tells the story of his "first community organizing project"
Oscar Moreno

Lorenzo Gomez has been organizing in San Antonio for some time. His work leading the for-profit co-working space Geekdom was at the heart of San Antonio's startup scene. He helped found TechBloc, the local technology advocacy organization. Gomez's work with the 80|20 Foundation has given many grants to support new projects.

But in this story from his childhood Gomez jokingly shares what he considers to be his very first community organizing efforts.

Check out "Tafolla Toro," his new book that outlines his childhood in greater depth.

This story was recorded on 11.12.19 at Brick as part of  Worth Repeating's "Hustle" show.
