US Coronavirus Cases Hit New High As Pandemic Rebound Continues

The country’s rolling seven-day average of new daily coronavirus cases hit 70,000 on Tuesday, marking a new high in infections as many regions see a fall surge in COVID-19.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced the state would reimpose restrictions on bars and restaurants in Chicago as the city’s positivity rate and in-hospital admissions reached a level the Illinois Department of Public Health Director called "very significant."
