Recentlyreleased from immigration detentioncenters in Dilley and Karnes County, 500 women and children from Central America are now displaced. Area churches and organizations are working to support the women and children, most of whom are seeking asylum.
ICE has released a statement to "The Source" saying: "ICE is currently reviewing the court’s ruling on the matter of the operating license for the South Texas Family Residential Center. Operational activities continue without interruption at this time."
