Blue Moon: Origins Of The Song

Saturday night’s sky will feature what’s called a "Blue Moon" — that’s when you get two full moons in a single calendar month. It’s a rare occurrence and yes, the source of the saying “once in a blue moon."

Could the classic pop song that shares its name give us hope during another rare occurrence? Judith Kogan reports.
