Houston Drops Glass Recycling Pickup

The Houston City Council voted to stop curbside glass recycling because the city’s waste contractor says it costs too much. Yet, glass recycling companies say there’s a high demand for recycled glass. Florian Martin of Here & Now contributor Houston Public Media takes a look at the recycling recovery process and why Houston and other cities are dropping glass from curbside recycling.
